Summary

Aglobulia is a term used in hematology to describe a decrease in the number of red blood cells. It is presented as the opposite condition to polyglobulia, which refers to an increase in the number of red blood cells.

AGLOBULIA (from the Greek a-, a negative particle, and the Latin globulus, a small sphere), absence of spheres; in hematology: a decrease in the number of erythrocytes, in contrast to polyglobulia, which is an increase in their number.
