ADENOPATHY (from Greek aden - gland and pathos - suffering), a term used chiefly by French clinicians to designate diseases of the lymphatic glands of the most diverse character. Thus, adenopathy is a collective concept and may imply non-inflammatory as well as inflammatory, specific, and non-specific changes in the lymphatic apparatus (see Adenitis, Lymphadenitis, Lymphatic glands). In our medical nomenclature, the term "adenopathy" is not in use.
