Encyclopedia entry (1928–1936)

AUTOMATIC CLOCKS are used in physiotherapy when administering procedures and represent an alarm clock whose dial is divided into minutes from 0 to 60. The clock hand is set to the desired number, Figure 1. Automatic clock. and upon the expiration of this time, they begin to ring. In X-ray therapy, Gocht's automatic clocks are used, which are included in the primary circuit and, upon the expiration of a certain time, not only ring but also automatically turn off the current.
