Encyclopedia entry (1928–1936)
DEHIO TEST for vagotonia. In cases where there are symptoms of increased excitability of the vagus nerve (bradycardia, respiratory arrhythmia, narrowing of the pupils), Dehio recommends injecting 0.001 of Atropini sulf. subcutaneously to confirm the diagnosis. In the presence of hypertonia of the vagus nerve, all symptoms disappear.
