GALMANIN, a white powder consisting of zinc oxide, magnesium carbonate, talc, and starch. Sometimes 2–3% formalin, 1% salicylic acid, or 5% boric acid is added to this mixture. It is used as a dusting powder for perspiration, especially for the feet.
