METABOLIN, a preparation obtained from yeast and the pancreas. It is believed that Metabolin contains an insulin-like substance, which exerts an effect in diabetics by lowering the sugar content in the blood and increasing the organism's ability to assimilate carbohydrates. However, the therapeutic effect of Metabolin is doubtful.
