ABBE CAMERA LUCIDA, a device fitted onto a microscope eyepiece that allows one to see simultaneously both the object under examination and the pencil drawing its contours. The main part of the Abbe camera lucida is a cube composed of two right-angle glass prisms. By means of a set of neutral density glasses, it is possible to equalize the brightness of the original and the drawing, which are viewed simultaneously.
