ANTHEAUME, Andre (Andre Antheaume, 1867-1927), French psychiatrist who studied drug addictions and psychopathies, periodic psychoses and psychoses in the army, was one of the advocates for the establishment of so-called 'open' psychiatric departments, and is also known as an activist for the professional organization of French neurologists and psychiatrists.

From 1905 until his death, he was one of the editors of the journal 'L'Encephale', under which in 1906 he founded the supplement 'L'Informateur des Alienistes et des Neurologistes', which was recently transformed into the organ of the mental hygiene movement - 'L'Hygiene Mentale'.
