BONN'S NODULES (Bonn), synonym epithelial pearls; small (smaller than a pinhead) retention cysts of the mucous glands along or near the suture of the hard palate. They occur in the majority of newborns; sometimes they turn into small ulcers, but they have no pathological significance and usually disappear without treatment.
