GUDDEN'S METHOD (Gudden), an anatomical and experimental method for studying the pathways and centers of auditory and visual perception; it consists of destroying the sensory apparatus (eye, ear) in newborn animals, as a result of which the underdevelopment of the corresponding pathways and centers occurs.
