Inosemtseva Napli, Guttae Inosemzowi, s. T-ra anticholerica Inosemzowi (Ph. VII), consist of Extr. Nuc. vom.-1 part, T-ra Opii- 120 parts, T-ra Rhei-480 parts, T-ra Castorei- 20 parts, Spirit, aether.-240 parts, T-ra Valer. aether.-240 parts, 01. Menthae pip.-5 parts. They appear as a cloudy, dark brown, in a thin layer yellowish liquid with a strong characteristic odor and bitter taste. I. k. before dispensing and before counting drops for administration should be well shaken, as they contain the finest sediment. The main action belongs to the opium tincture, while the remaining ingredients play the role of adjuvants. They are prescribed in 15-30 drops several times a day for intestinal diseases accompanied by diarrhea, as a means of calming peristalsis and intestinal pain.
