OMNIVORES, Omnivora, mammals that feed indiscriminately on both animal and plant food, such as, for example, pigs, humans, and others. This term is contrasted with the names herbivores and carnivores. Examples of the former are ruminants (cow, sheep) and perissodactyls (horse, donkey), while examples of the latter are carnivores (dog, wolf, cat).
