RETROFLEXIO UTERI (retroflexion of the uterus), a change in the shape and position of the uterus in which the body of the uterus bends backward in the region of the internal os, with the axis of the body forming an angle with the axis of the anteriorly displaced cervix that is open posteriorly (see Uterus, abnormal positions of the uterus).
