ACATAPHASIA (from the Greek a-negative particle and kataphasis-affirmation), a speech disorder consisting of a disruption in the correct syntactic structure of a phrase. Usually, the term agrammatism (see) is used instead of acataphasia. The term acataphasia was borrowed from Aristotle.
