ANTHRASOL, Anthrasol, a colorless tar preparation consisting of equal parts of decolorized purified coal tar and juniper tar; it is soluble in fats. It is used for chronic eczema, furunculosis, pruritus, chronic lichen, and seborrhea. Ointments and pastes contain 10–15% Anthrasol; alcoholic solutions contain 15–20%.
