BAUDELOCQUE'S DIAMETER (diameter Baudelocquii), or the external conjugate of the pelvis, represents the distance from the spinous process of the last lumbar vertebra to the midpoint of the upper edge of the symphysis. In a normal state, it is equal to 19–20 cm.
