Bayonet connection, one part is provided with slightly obtuse-angled slots (one or several, symmetrically arranged), while the other has corresponding pins or protrusions that enter the aforementioned slots. Bayonet connections are used in a number of surgical instruments, for securing incandescent light bulbs in lighting fixtures, etc.
