BYSTRENIN, Innokenty Nikandrovich, Professor of Pediatrics; born in 1859. In 1884 he graduated from the Medical Faculty of Kazan University. Until 1891 he was a Zemsky doctor. In 1905 he became a Doctor of Medicine. Until 1912 he was a Privatdozent at Kazan University in the Department of Pediatrics, and from 1912 onward he served continuously as Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Saratov University. He is the author of many works, the principal ones being "Manual of Respiratory Diseases in Children" and "Children's Doctor Companion (Children's Diseases)", which has gone through six editions.
