Gretchishchev, Ksenofont Mikhaylovich (born in 1873), professor of hygiene. Received medical education at Tomsk (1894-99) and Berlin (1899-1900) universities. Has been working since 1901 primarily in Siberia as a sanitary physician, resettlement physician, head of the sanitary department of the Irkutsk provincial health department, head of the sanitary-epidemiological subdepartment of the Siberian health department, and epidemiologist of the city of Omsk. Was the first organizer of medical-sanitary affairs in Tomsk (since 1902) and an active participant in the development of medical-sanitary organization of the Siberian region, as well as the Omsk Medical Institute, where he organized the department of experimental hygiene. Since 1926, has been a member of the Omsk City Council and its presidium. Has over 60 scientific printed works of local research nature and sanitary-organizational significance.
