Encyclopedia entry (1928–1936)

HELD'S BUNDLE (Held), is related to the auditory system; it originates in the ventral nucleus of the cochlear nerve, is directed first backwards, curves around the restiform body, passes behind the superior olive to the opposite side, forming the most posterior bundle of the trapezoid body, reaches the opposite superior olive and takes an ascending direction, entering the composition of the lateral lemniscus (figure see in the article Hearing).
