HUNYADI JANOS, a bitter mineral water from a spring among the Ofen mineral springs group (near Budapest) in Hungary. The solid residue is 44.505 g per liter (sodium sulfate 23.112 g and magnesium sulfate 17.749 g). The water possesses a strong laxative effect; its prolonged use leads to catarrh of the gastrointestinal tract. The water is exported in large quantities to all countries of the world.
