T. P. Krasnobayev (1865-?) was a prominent pediatric surgeon who served as head of surgical departments at Moscow hospitals and was a privat-docent at Moscow University. Krasnobayev. Timofey Petrovich (born 1865), prominent pediatric surgeon. After graduating from Moscow University in 1888, he worked at the Smolensk provincial hospital, and from 1889 in a number of hospitals in Moscow. Since 1903, K. has headed the surgical department of the Obraztsov children's hospital (formerly the Morozovskaya) in Moscow. He serves as privat-docent at 1st Moscow State University, where he teaches a course in orthopedics and surgery of childhood. K. is a great expert on bone and joint tuberculosis sanatoriums in Europe and organizer of model institutions of this kind near Moscow.

K.'s main works are: "Review of 117 cases of lithotripsy" (Med. Obozr., vol. LVI, 1901); "On lithotripsy in children" (New Surg. Arch., vol. XIII, book 3, 1927); "Bone and joint tuberculosis in children" (M.-L., 1928). K.-honorary member of surgical societies in Moscow and Leningrad, the Society of Pediatricians in Moscow and the Moscow Radiological Society.
