Lesage Adolphe Auguste (Adolphe Auguste Lesage, born in 1862), prominent French pediatrician. Known for works and research in the field of pathology and hygiene of the child, as well as as a worker in the field of child protection. Member of the Medical Academy since 1927, honorary physician of the Ne-gerold hospital, editor of the journal Medecine infantile, heads the school of puericulture, secretary of the League for the Fight Against Child Mortality, as well as the National Committee for the Care of Children; greatly contributed to the development and prosperity of these societies.

Most important works by L.: "Traite des maladies du nourrisson" (Paris, 1911; Russian edition - St. Petersburg, 1914); "Meningite tuberculeuse chez l'enfant" (Paris, 1919); "Debilite arthritique de l'enfant" (Paris, 1921). A number of articles and books by Lesage are devoted to gastrointestinal diseases in children.
