HORMONAL, Hormonal, neohormonal, an aqueous extract of the spleen that causes an increase in intestinal peristalsis and contains, according to the creator of the preparation, Zülzer, hormones that act specifically on the intestine. It is used with some success intravenously and intramuscularly for chronic stubborn constipation, postoperative intestinal paresis, etc. Dose: intravenously 15 cubic centimeters.
