Summary
Planimetry is the measurement of areas of plane figures, frequently used in medical-physiological research, particularly for areas of curves recorded on a kymograph. This measurement can be performed either with auxiliary grids placed over the figure or by means of mechanical measuring instruments called planimeters.

Planimetry, measurement of areas of plane figures, very frequently used in medical-physiological research works, primarily with respect to areas of curves recorded on a kymograph.
