GARA SIGNS (Gara), consist of 1) significantly pronounced tenderness upon pressure on the spinous process of the fifth lumbar vertebra and 2) the appearance of pain upon pressure to the left of the navel and slightly below it. They are encountered in sciatica, predominantly of a radicular nature.
