Merano, a mountain-climatic resort in Southern Tyrol (Italy) at an altitude of 319-520 meters above sea level; located on the southern slope of the Alps and protected by mountains 2,000-3,000 meters high from northern, eastern, and western winds. Mild, even, dry climate with a small amount of rainfall and a short, warm winter. Treatment methods: heliotherapy and aerotherapy, grape cure, terrain cure and physiotherapy. Sanatoriums, hotels, water treatment facilities, inhalation room, etc. There is a theater, Kursaal, sports grounds, etc. Indications: tuberculosis, rickets, anemia, neurasthenia, pulmonary emphysema, asthma, etc. Season - year-round; best time of season - from September 1 to June 1.
