SOLVIEV FYODOR Alekseyevich (born in 1879), prominent Russian gynecologist, professor of obstetrics and women's diseases at the North Caucasus Medical Institute. Graduated from the medical faculty of Kharkov University in 1903. From the moment of graduation until 1919, he worked in the obstetric-gynecological clinic (of Prof. N. F. Tolochinov) of the same university, first as a laboratory assistant, then as an assistant. In 1908, he received the degree of Doctor of Medicine, in 1911 - Associate Professor. In 1908 and 1913, he was on foreign business trips and worked in the clinics of Berlin, Vienna and Dresden. In 1919, he was elected to the chair of Yekaterinoslav University; in 1920, he was elected to the chair in Rostov-on-Don, where he organized a clinic and has been running it to the present day. In Rostov-on-Don, along with conducting extensive teaching and scientific work, S. actively participates in public life as a member of the board of SKGU, dean of the medical faculty, etc.; in recent years, S. has taken the closest part in the organization of healthcare, being the organizer and chairman of the Don Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics, a member of the board of the All-Union Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics, editor and co-editor of several scientific journals ('Medical Thought', 'Soviet Medicine in the North Caucasus', 'Journal of Obstetrics and Women's Diseases'), actively participates in congresses and is repeatedly elected honorary chairman at them.

To S. belong 55 scientific works, of which the most worthy of attention are materials on the question of electrotherapy in gynecology by the method of Dr. A. Alexandrov, on the causes of secretion of the mammary gland, on identical twins, on surgical sterilization of women, on the constitution of women, and on endocrinology of the female reproductive sphere.
