Konstantin Ivanovich Shidlovsky (1858-1920) was a Russian physician, public figure, and literary publicist who worked as a zemstvo doctor, sanitary physician, and editor. He was an active participant in the Esperanto movement and published numerous works on medical organization and the life of physicians.

Shidlovsky Konstantin Ivanovich (1858-1920), sanitary physician, public figure, literary publicist. Born in the city of Kazan, where he also studied in the gymnasium and university. After completing his course in 1881, he took the position of a district zemstvo physician in Chistopol district of the same province. After 7 years, he moved to the Kazan Statistical Bureau, participating in local surveys of Spassky and Kozmodemyansky districts and in the literary processing of the material. From 1891, he moved to work as a sanitary physician in Kherson province and later in Moscow province; due to illness, he left service in 1896. From 1898, he took on secretarial work at the board of the Pirogov Society (chairman E. A. Osipov); he managed publishing and the literary organ. From 1904, he was elected by the congress as a member of the board; he edited the journal 'Public Physician,' was brought to trial (1908), and acquitted by the Moscow District Court. An active participant in the Esperanto movement, he participated in international congresses (Dresden, Antwerp, Krakow, Budapest). He founded (together with N. A. Kabanov and V. A. Pokotillo) the Russian Esperanto Society of Physicians and published its bulletins. The main sphere of his activity was journalistic publicistic work; he devoted himself to it with enthusiasm and talent. He wrote a number of sanitary-statistical essays and many articles and notes on issues of medical organization and the life of physicians.
